Star San - SANITIZING

How to Use:

Use approximately cap (1/4oz)  per gallon of water in either a cleaning bucket you can dunk your equipment in or a spray bottle.

Do I need to rinse after using star san?

Star San is self-foaming, which helps it to penetrate cracks and crevices. Odorless and flavourless, no need to worry about tainting your beer or wine. Doesnot require rinsing when used at the recommended dilution.

Does Star San need to dry?

30 seconds of exposure to star San will sanitize almost anything. It won't kill you if there's residual bubbles from it in your bottles, carboys, and yeast starter glassware. In fact it's best if the surfaces aren't dry, as they're likely no longer sanitary at that point.

Will Star San kill yeast?

Star-San kills yeast in large amounts. ... Despite that, yeast can survive a pH2 solution, the pH is not the killing action of StarSan, it's the redox reaction on the cell membranes of microbes that does the killing. The low pH is just what indicates that StarSan is active, not how it kills. A spray won't stop your batch from fermenting though. It's safe to use on utensils you're using to check on your brew.
